This is our first level of COMPETITIVE TEAM GYMNASTICS OUTSIDE OF THE GYM. Bronze/Level 2 Team Gymnasts may compete USA Gymnastics and/or Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Xcel Bronze or Level 2, depending on what coaches think is best for the particular gymnast during competition season.
Our Bronze/Level 2 program is a 2 hour class 2 times per week. There are currently 6 different class times throughout the week to choose from: Monday 4:30-6:30 or 6:30-8:30, Tuesday 3:30-5:30, Wednesday 4:30-6:30 or 6:30-8:30, and Thursday 3:30-5:30, subject to availability. The cost for Xcel Bronze/Level 2 Team is $135 per month.
Bronze/Level 2 gymnasts may be asked to become a member of USA Gymnastics for certain meets, and there would be an additional annual fee for that. Bronze/Level 2 Team gymnasts will be required to purchase a Team Leotard, Warm-up set, and ATM bag. We try to keep the prices as low as possible on these items, but plan to spend around $250 on the total uniform package. We try to use the same leotards for a couple of years to keep costs down for families. Meet Fees: away Meet Entry Fees run $95 - $160 per meet and we usually attend 3 - 6 away meets per school year. So moving up to Bronze/Level 2 Team is an added expense of $300 - $600 per year, depending on the number of meets you attend. Your gymnast is NOT required to attend all meets the team goes to, but we would like them to do at least one away meet, and State Meet is highly recommended if they qualify.
Deciding to be part of our Bronze/Level 2 Team is a commitment to our TEAM program. It means your goal is to try to move up within our team program - you want to compete and train to be the best gymnast you can be! ATM Gymnastics offers different competitive options including USA Gymnastics & Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) which we use to introduce our lower level team gymnasts to the fun and experience of performing and competition!
Being ready for Bronze/Level 2 does not mean you have to move to Team - it just means the coaches think you are ready and have that option if it is what you & your family want to do. DO NOT feel like your gymnastics career is over if you do not want to do Bronze/Level 2 Team. If you choose not to do Bronze/Level 2 Team, you will automatically be in PreTeam+, which has the same routines and skill level as Bronze or Level 2. We will continue to work with you with the same expertise and high level of coaching that all of our gymnasts and levels receive. That is the best thing about our program - all of the classes Recreational through Team are taught by the same Team coaches and we treat everyone the same, no matter what level or program you are part of. This is something you will NOT find at most other gyms. Once part of this team, you are expected to remain enrolled and pay Tuition year round. You CAN NOT take the summer or a month off, and then rejoin the Team when school starts. You are required to pay for 12 - 4 week months per year whether you attend class or not. You are also expected to make up for any missed classes.
